Help and quickstart

Get the source, run the checks, and keep a backup. Start with the free checker or your purchased offline toolkit.

Get your own HTML

  1. From a browser: open a page you own or are authorized to review. In Firefox, context-click the page and choose View Page Source, then copy the HTML from the source tab. Other browsers may place their source command elsewhere. See Firefox’s View Source guide.
  2. From your project: use an HTML file produced by your site builder’s export or your project’s build. Choose the page you want to check. JavaScript, JSX, TypeScript, screenshots and PDFs are not page-source HTML.
  3. In the free checker: paste the HTML, or choose a local .html or .htm file. Files must be UTF-8 and no larger than 1,000,000 bytes (1 MB). File contents are read in your browser, not uploaded or executed.

If a file is rejected as invalid UTF-8, export or save the original file as UTF-8 and try again. Renaming a different file type does not turn it into HTML. The checker uses UTF-8 decoding that rejects malformed input instead of replacing invalid bytes.

View Page Source shows the source document. It may differ from the page after JavaScript has built or changed its content. Review the rendered page in the browser separately; missing source content can explain a finding.

Understand the ten findings

The free checker applies ten limited source heuristics:

  • Document metadata: page title, search description, document language and mobile viewport.
  • Content and controls: main heading, image text alternatives, form labels and button names.
  • Page identity and sharing: absolute canonical hint and Open Graph preview title.

A pass means that the specific source heuristic passed. A review flag needs your judgment and a recheck after any fix. Either result can miss or misclassify an issue; this is not a full HTML validator or rendered-site audit.

You still test keyboard use, real mobile layout, form delivery, links, contrast and actual performance. The toolkit’s 45 manual checks guide that work; they do not perform it for you. Untested items remain untested. See the launch checklist and illustrative report.

Neither the checker nor a report certifies accessibility, legal compliance or security, or guarantees rankings or business results.

Open the purchased toolkit

  1. Download your ZIP from your private order page, unzip it, and open launchcheck.html in a modern desktop browser. The toolkit does not need installation or a network connection.
  2. Enter the project, website and studio details. Paste source HTML for its markup preflight, then perform the relevant manual checks. Record observations, priority and evidence; skip checks that do not apply.
  3. Select Build report and review the findings. Choose Print / save PDF, then your browser or system’s PDF destination if available. Print options vary. You can also choose Save report HTML for a portable report.

Export checklist CSV creates a spreadsheet-friendly copy of the manual checklist. It does not replace a project backup. Review the report’s scope and evidence before giving it to a client.

The offline toolkit is an optional paid download. The free browser checker remains available without buying it; see current toolkit pricing.

Back up and restore your work

Use Save project JSON regularly and before opening another project. To restore a LaunchCheck v1 backup, select Open project JSON and choose the saved file. Import replaces the current workspace, so save that project first.

Browser storage can be cleared or unavailable, especially when opening a local file. If you see a storage warning, save a JSON backup before closing the toolkit. You can continue the review and restore from that backup later. If no usable local project loads, open an existing JSON backup.

Work lost from browser storage cannot be recovered by LaunchCheck without a saved backup. A report PDF or CSV is useful output, but does not restore the full project.

Project JSON can contain source HTML and client notes. Keep backups and reports on trusted devices and storage. Anyone with access to your browser profile or exported files may see them. The downloaded toolkit does not send project data to us; the free checker does not save your pasted or imported HTML. Avoid including credentials. Read the privacy notice for payments and support records.

Find your order and download

After a purchase, keep the private order link returned by checkout. Open that link to see your payment status and, once payment is confirmed, select Download LaunchCheck v1. The general order page explains how to open your private link; it cannot look up a purchase without it.

If the page is waiting for payment confirmation, it checks automatically. Delayed payment methods can require additional confirmation. If the connection is interrupted, refresh the same private page. Do not make another purchase just because the first one is pending; use order support if you need help.

The order link gives access to your purchase and messages. Keep it private, and do not post it in a public screenshot or discussion. This public help page never needs your order link, payment credentials or client source.

Support and refunds

Use Order support on your private order page for download, toolkit-operation or refund questions. After saving a message, check the same page for a response. Do not include passwords or complete card numbers.

If you lose the private link, call 7eventeen business support: +1 (304) 410-7217 with your Stripe receipt reference.

You can request a refund within 14 days through private order support or business support. See the terms and refund policy for the full conditions. Custom website development and performed reviews are outside toolkit support.
